Sadly, this month also saw the passing of the brothers of both our Club President Paddy Burns and our Honorable Secretary John Lowe and we extend our sympathies to both families at this sad time.

The course itself is starting to take shape and thankfully the incessant rain has somewhat abated. The weather throughout March being the wettest on record has made for a very difficult start to Spring and resulted in the golf course being heavy underfoot with some hole closures staying in place for longer than normal.

Juvenile Boys Convenor for the 2023 Season is John Lavery and for the Juvenile Girls it is Michelle Kinane. The club recently hosted a Golf Ireland Workshop for Junior Convenors which provided valuable training and advice for all new Junior Convenors and it is hoped to set up a Juvenile Registration evening in early May to kickstart this year's junior programme.

To introduce further excitement into the golfing season, the Golfer of the Year this year will run under a new format for 2023 culminating in the Club Championship. The top 50 in the Golfer of the Year- Order of Merit standings will qualify for the Club Championship.
