AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

On Thursday 6 July 2023, the ladies of Co Armagh competed for the Captain’s Prize. 

The winners of the 18 and 9 hole competitions were announced and both ladies collected their prize from Captain Gerry Kelly at his Captain’s Day prize-giving on Saturday 8 July.

Hilary Johnston won the 18 hole competition with 41 pts and Ronnie Toal the 9 hole competition with 15 pts.

Club Stableford – 6 July 2023

Ladies playing for the Captain’s Prize also entered a club stableford competition.  Hilary Johnston won with 41 pts, Maggie Donnelly was second with 38 pts and Fionnuala Oliver third with 37 pts.

Cat C    Jacqueline Kelly             28 pts

Cat D    Eilish Grimes                  29 pts

Lady Vice Captain Ellen Brady won the Front 9 with 19 pts and Anne Kinsella won the Back 9 with 20 pts.

9 Hole Competition

The 9 hole competition was won by Ronnie Toal with 15 pts and Carina Oliver was second, also with 15 pts, beating Catherine McAnerney on the countback.

The 9 hole Get Into Golf winner was Catherine Vernon with 68.

Birdies and Twos

There were birdies recorded by Maggie Donnelly at the 1st and 10th; Carina Oliver and Eileen Fitzsimons at the 8th and Helen Forster at the 16th.

Fionnuala Oliver had a two at the 9th and Anne Kinsella and Paula McCrory at the 11th.
