LIFT, CLEAN and PLACE THROUGH THE GREEN will apply (Competitions from Thursday, 12th July - Sunday, 15th July will be non-qualifying competitions - this will really only affect Friday's Ladies and Gents Open and Sunday morning's Club Stableford).

From Monday, 16th July

If the course conditions do not improve, LIFT, CLEAN and PLACE THROUGH THE GREEN will remain until Friday, 20th July.

Exception: The Ladies July Medal Competition - play ball as it lies, except at the aprons at front of greens which have been hollow tined, where you will have relief and can LIFT, CLEAN and PLACE your ball.

Due to weather conditions, we may be unable to cut the rough to normal standards - apologies.

Green staff are determined to keep the course open as much as possible during this difficult period, however, it may be deemed necessary to close the course from time to time.

65 Co. Armagh lady golfers competed in the July Medal Competition.

Conditions were unusually dry and the ladies took advantage of the favourable weather. The top lady was N. Spence (nett 67) closely followed by C. Cassidy and A. Black ( both 71). Category winners were as follows: A: B. Rice, B: U. Cullinane, C: F. Quinn and D: M. McCoy. The gross prize was won by Lady Captain P. McCrory while the par lady was A. Mone. Front 9 winner was D. Carolan and back 9 was G. Rafferty.

SUNDAY - 29th JULY - 4-BALL BETTER-BALL COMPETITION

Even though this is not an Open Competition, booking for this Competition will open on Friday, 13th July at 1900 hrs, as it precedes Open Week, which is also available for booking on the same date.

CAPTAIN'S DAY - 3rd and 4th AUGUST

Booking for Captain's Day will open on Friday, 20th July at 1900 hrs, as there is an Open Mixed Greensomes on Sunday, 5th August, which normally opens two weeks prior to competition.
