AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

43 ladies from County Armagh braved the elements on a wet and windy course for the right to represent the club at the finals of the Peggy Nelson competition later in the summer. This competition is very generously sponsored by McKinney Timber Railway St Armagh. There was a great array of prizes which were played in categories with the winner of each going through to the finals.

The three categories are: A: 0-15 Handicap. B: 16-24. C: 25- 36. The scoring on the day was close with one of the categories going to a count back. The results were as follows.

A: Winner: B Gartland 36 pts. 2 nd P McCrory 33pts. 3 rd G Rafferty 31pts.

B: Winner B Hamilton 33 Pts. 2 nd L Megaw 33 Pts. 3 rd S Donnelly 30 Pts.

C: Winner D Carolan 37Pts. 2 nd N Spence 35 Pts . 3 rd B Gribben 33 pts.

The winner of section B Barbara Hamilton shot a fantastic hole in one on the 11 th , well done Barbara.

The par lady on Thursday was E Grimes.

The lady captain Hillary Johnston presented the beautiful prizes and wished the winners luck in the finals.
