Lady Captain Frances Davidson held an outing to the Slieve Russell Hotel, Golf & Country Club last weekend, 27th & 28th April. Fifty nine ladies had an absolutely marvellous overnight stay, filled with laughter, indulgence & a touch of luxury.
Sunday began with the ladies teeing off with a swing and a smile on a rather challenging championship course. After completing the first nine holes spirits were uplifted as everyone was greeted with a variety of refreshments & treats by once again an extremely generous Lady Captain. It certainly fuelled on ladies for a further nine holes which resulted in some great scores.
The evening began with Lady Captain Frances, welcoming and thanking all fifty nine fantastic ladies for supporting her outing, which she was totally overwhelmed with.
Eileen Fitzsimons spoke on behalf of all lady members who attended and thanked the Lady Captain for the organisation of the getaway, her generosity & wished her further success, to which everyone applauded.
The speeches were followed by a scrumptious 3 course meal and an array of prizes for the best golfing scores on the day and spot prizes for all other cards returned.
Monday morning began with the early birds enjoying breakfast and ready for the fun filled scramble round of golf.
Once again it was wonderful to see players of all abilities completing the course and enjoying the company of fellow members.
It certainly was an unforgettable getaway and a time to relax,stay and play for Co.Armagh Ladies Branch!
