AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

There were 82 competitors, which included many visitors, in the prestigious Armaghdale Open Stroke competition held at Co Armagh Golf Club on Saturday 5 September 2020.

One of the ‘majors’ at Co Armagh, the Armaghdale competition was again very generously sponsored by Gerard and Frances Davidson T/A Business Account Services Accountants and Auditors.

Competition Standard Scratch was 70.

A further 22 ladies played in the 9-hole competition which was won by Gemma Rice with nett 34. Rea Haughey was second with nett 35, beating Mary McElvanna on the countback.

There were birdies at the 1st and 8th for Colette McSorley and 2s at the 3rd for June Humphries, the 7th for Pauline Gingles and at the 11th for Cait McKinney.

The handicap cuts were Lynne Brown 24-23.1, Anne Kinsella 20-19.0 and Colette McSorley 11-10.1.
