AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

Sixty nine ladies played in the Summer Open Stableford Competition at Co Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 13 August. The competition was sponsored by The Enagh Group, who have been very generous sponsors in recent years.

Co Armagh ladies competed alongside visiting ladies including those from Aughnacloy, Banbridge, Dungannon, Portadown and Loughgall for the salver and prizes.
Competition Standard Scratch was 71.

The winner of the Summer Open with 39 pts was Lynne Brown. The 2019 runner-up, Lynne improved her score by one shot on the previous year to take first place, beating Donna Carolan’s 39 pts on the better back nine. Breda Teahan took third place with 37 pts.

Front 9 Audrey Kellett 20 pts (beating Maggie McKee and Frances Davidson)

Tish Burke won the 9 hole competition with 18 pts and Mary McElvanna took second place, also with 18 pts.

There were birdies at the 2nd for Emma Garrigan and 10th for Mildred Hodgett and twos at the 3rd for Anne Cullen and at the 7th for Gail Radcliff and Audrey Kellett.

There were handicap cuts for Fionnuala Quinn 26-25.1, Lynne Brown 25-24.1, Donna Carolan 29-27.4
and Breda Teahan 33-32.1.

The weekly Time for Nine was won by Fionnuala Quinn with 19 pts.
