In wintery conditions, Ladies competed in the annual Peggy Nelson Qualifying Stableford Competition on Thursday 4 April, sponsored by Gilfresh.

Welcoming everyone to prize giving Lady Captain, Mrs Moya Brady thanked Gilfresh in their absence for their continued support.

Section A: 1 st Geraldine Rafferty 36 pts, 2 nd Ellen Brady 36 pts and 3 rd Mary Black 33 pts

Section B: 1 st Emma Garrigan 35 pts, 2 nd Eileen Fitzsimons 35 pts and 3 rd Siobhan Donnelly 34 pts

Section C: 1 st Maggie McKee 37 pts, 2 nd Michelle Kinane 35 pts and 3 rd Donna Carolan 34 pts

The winners from each of the sections will represent Co Armagh Golf Club in the finals on Monday 15 July in Dunmurry.

Toni McManus won the 9 hole competition with 18 points.

The weekly Time for Nine competition was won by Mary McElvanna with 22 points and Elizabeth Mawhinney was second with 21 pts.  Both ladies received handicap cuts.

There were birdies at the 3 rd for Mary Black and 12 th for Ellen Brady and Siobhan Donnelly carded the only two of the day at the 3 rd .
