The Ulster cup team captained by Richard Black fought hard to get through Royal Portrush but came up short when the last 2 matches were called in.
The previous week the team won 3 matches away in Portrush through Michael Cullen, Garry Toal and Mark Elliott .
Michael won again at home but Garry Mark and Ian Millar lost at home and with 2 holes to play both Derek Mc Keever and Chris Mc Cabe were 2 down.
Simon Arthur’s was 2 up with 2 to play so ultimately the team went down 8-6 in the first round.
