Over 70 lady members of County Armagh Golf Club turned out in inclement weather to play in the Sinton Cup competition on Thursday 29 th May. The competition was generously sponsored by McKinney Timber .

Results were as follows:

• Gross 1 st was won by B. Rice with a score of 83, narrowly beating E. Brady (Gross 2 nd ) also with 83.

• Nett 1 st _ A Canavan ( 69).

• Nett 2 nd _ Karen Edgar ( 70)

• Category winners were T. McVeigh 73 (category A),

• G. Steed 70 (category B),

• H. McLaughlin 70 (category C),

• M. Knott 75 (category D).

The Daisy Ferguson Greensomes took place this week and was again very generously sponsored by Wrights Interiors. We had 60 ladies playing under mixed conditions. Fionnuala Quinn and Nicola Spence won again this year with a great score of 41points, narrowly beating Vera Ellingham and Bernie Gribben with 40 points.

The ladies played in much warmer conditions this week in the qualifying for the Steenson Bowl, kindly sponsored by Eileen Steenson.

Ann McDonald was the worthy winner with a net 69, she along with those who had the next best 15 scores go on to play for the Steenson Bowl.

The annual ' Spring Open ' which is very generously sponsored by Mark Hawthorne from ' Lila's ' was won by Paula McCrory with 38 points, narrowly beating Phil McKenna also with 38 points.

The MacMillan Charity Competition was again very generously sponsored by V.Mone & Son Keady. It was well supported by the ladies and good scores were achieved despite the weather being a challenge again!

The above competition was played for this week and we had 62 ladies in contention. Although a much cooler day conditions were still good. Teresa Corrigan won the McCall Shield beating Patricia Hughes on the countback with a net 74. Aideen Canavan won the Millennium Bowl and she beat Barbara Gartland on the countback with a net 70!
