BIRDIES at the 10 th , 11 th and 15 th holes ultimately earned Shea Brady first prize in the County Armagh Golf Club Sunday stableford.

When no less than four players each returned 40 points, it took countback to separate Shea (6), Brian McGrady (14), Michael McParland (15) and PJ Quinn(13).

19 and 21 points front and back nine holes respectively won it for Shea. Brian McGrady was a deserved runner up with 20 and 20 points respectively front and back nine holes.

September Medal winner Gervase Hughes (9) recorded 39 points to secure first prize in Category 1 and again a countback was required when Jerome Leer (4) returned the same score in the category.

In Category 2 it was a similar story with Michael McParland (15) and PJ Quinn (13) each returning 40 points  - Michael winning out on this occasion with 21 and 19 points against PJ's 23 and 17 points.

Paul Rice (21) won Category 3 with 38 points – two more than runner up Michael Smyth (20) on 36 points.
