49 ladies played in the first stroke competition of the season. The winner with a nett 69 was Mary Black followed by Sheila Stinson with a nett 71. In third place was Jacqueline Kelly with a nett 73. The gross prize was won by Ellen Brady with an excellent gross 79.
Category A was won by Geraldine Rafferty with a nett 73 while Bridget McEneaney won Category B with a nett 79 (beating Toni McManus on the better back 9). Category C went to Elizabeth Mawhinney (who beat Carmel Cassidy on the better back nine) with a nett 74 and Lynne Brown's nett 77 claimed Category D. Carmel Cassidy won the Front 9 (beating Toni McManus on the better back 6) with a nett 33 and Paula McCrory had the best Back 9 with a nett 38.
10 ladies played the 9-hole competition and the winner was Gina Morris with a nett 33.5.
