AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

AN all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, and £10,000 cash are among the amazing prizes up for grabs in a Grand Draw at County Armagh Golf Club.

Captain Martin Oliver and Lady Captain Una Cullinane recently launched the major fund-raising initiative at the local club, with prizes for golfers and non-golfers totalling over £18,000.

The prizes include:

•  A trip for 2 to 2017 Masters in Augusta Georgia

•  £10,000 cash prize

•  20 years, five years and two years membership of County Armagh Golf Club

•  A fourball trip to Portugal or Spain

•  A set of irons

•  A holiday voucher, to the value of £500

•  A 43ins Smart HD TV, and

•  A round of golf, an evening meal, bed and breakfast at the Rosapenna Golf Resort

To launch the Grand Draw, a special event was held recently, with a packed clubhouse joining in the fund-raising activities. And in the first of a series of promotional events to be held in conjunction with the Grand Draw, Mary Reid was the lucky winner of a Garmin watch.

Speaking afterwards, Captain Martin Oliver said: “Fund-raising is an important part of any club today, and our Grand Draw follows on from the hugely successful Golf Classic which we hosted at County Armagh Golf Club last year which helped boost club funds.

“There are some amazing prizes to be won in the Grand Draw and not just for the golfer either – we are reaching out to everyone with this initiative and with the support of our members, their families, friends and the wider community we hope this also can be a successful fund-raising effort.”
