AFFABLE Art McCrory marched to victory in the County Armagh Open Stableford competition on 12 th July. His 42 points was the best on the day.

Steady scoring over the front nine holes flagged up 23 points for Art at the turn. And that momentum was maintained on the route home without disturbance for a further 19 points.


Art McCrory is presented with is prize by County Armagh Golf Club Captain Richard Black after winning the Open Stableford competition on 12 th July. Included also are runners up Colin Clarke and Iggy Mallon.

Kieran Grimley was just a point behind on 41 and will rue a ‘no-score' at the 12th hole. However, his back nine was just that little bit better than that of Shea Smith who claimed third prize with 41 points also.

Iggy Mallon too returned 41 points for fourth prize and Colin Clarke strolled in for 5 th with 39 points.

In the Ladies Open competition Mary Black was the convincing winner with 39 points, four better than the next best, Margaret Sheridan on 35 points.
