The five-handicapper produced an untouchable winning score – nett 67 - in the Sunday stroke competition to claim the honours. Mark Stevenson was his nearest rival with a nett 70 score.

A dropped shot at the straight-forward second hole was Jerome's only blemish on his outward trek. Birdies at the 10 th and 12 th holes followed, but a triple-bogey seven at the 15 th spoiled an otherwise superb round.

Jimmy Wilson was the best of the low handicappers on the day with a nett 71. Despite a double-bogey at the first hole and further dropped shots at the 5 th and 7 th he picked up the Category 1 first prize beating Ed Hughes on countback after he too returned a nett 71.

Ciaran Black was a model of consistency for his first prize in Category 2, his nett 73 one better than runner up Derek McKeever on nett 74.

Paul McKeown picked up the first prize in Category 3 with an impressive nett 71, two shots better than runner up Eric Villiers.
