COUNTY Armagh Golf Club has signed Milwaukee Power Tools as the main sponsor for their forthcoming fundraising Classic Golf competition to mark 40 years as an 18-hole course.

Milwaukee Power Tools is an industry-leading manufacturer and marketer of heavy-duty portable electric power tools and accessories engineered for professional users worldwide.

The 4-Ball Classic will take place on Friday 22 nd May highlighting a special celebration to mark 40 years since County Armagh Golf Club expanded from a nine hole to an 18-hole course. 4-ball teams, men, women and mixed, are invited to compete for a host of special prizes.

Announcing details of the sponsorship, County Armagh Golf Club Captain Richard Black said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome on board Milwaukee Power Tools. Our club – which is one of the oldest in Ireland - is marking a very special milestone and the financial support of Milwaukee Power Tools will help to make this special occasion.”

Richhill man Dale McElveen, who is Milwaukee's Commercial Director, added: “On behalf of everyone at Milwaukee, I would like to say how delighted we are to be sponsoring County Armagh Classic golf competition. As an aspiring power tool brand, Milwaukee is keen to support great events like this and looks forward to celebrating the clubs special milestone on 22 nd May.”

As well as the golf competition, a day-long series of events reflecting on the club history and the memories of current and past members is planned, including an exhibition of how the club has changed and developed over the years, with pictures and mementoes illustrating the history of the club and how it has been at the heart of the local community.

The day will conclude with the competition prize-giving in the clubhouse, followed by music and entertainment providing an opportunity for friends of County Armagh to join members, current and past, in the special celebration.
